Driving Into Charlotte

From Points North: 

• Take I-85 South to I-77 South towards Charlotte.
• Take exit 11 (I-277 South Brookshire Freeway & Highway 16 South).
• Stay left and bear to the left on exit 11A.
• Follow I-277 around Uptown Charlotte and take exit 1E (South Blvd./Kenilworth Rd./Stonewall St.).
• Stay right and merge right onto Stonewall Street.
• Actor’s Theatre is the first building on the right at the intersection on Stonewall Street and Alexander Street.
• Park behind or beside the theatre. Parking is free.

Points South: 

• Take I-77 North into Charlotte and exit at exit 9 (I-277 John Belk Freeway).
• Then immediately take exit 9B.
• Travel less than 1 mile and take exit 1E (College St./South Blvd./Caldwell St.).
• Take the first right-hand exit (College Street).
• Stay right on College Street and take a right at the first light (Stonewall Street).
• Go through 3 lights and make an immediate right onto Alexander Street (side street along the theatre).
•  Park behind or beside the theatre. Parking is free.

Points West:

• Take I-85 to exit 36 (Brookshire Blvd./Highway 74 East/Highway 16 South).
• Follow the signs for I-277 South and follow I-277 around Charlotte.
• Take exit at exit 1E (South Blvd./Kenilworth Rd./Stonewall St.).
• Stay right and merge right onto Stonewall Street.
•  Actor’s Theatre is the first building on the right at the intersection on Stonewall Street and Alexander Street.
•  Park behind or beside the theatre. Parking is free.

 Points East:

• Take Highway 74 West into Charlotte.
• Follow the signs to I-277 South John Belk Freeway (stay left at 1-277 interchange) and stay left on exit ramp.
• Travel on I-277 South around Charlotte until exit 1E (South Blvd./Kenilworth Rd./Stonewall St.).
•  Stay right and merge right onto Stonewall Street.
•  Actor’s Theatre is the first building on the right at the intersection on Stonewall Street and Alexander Street.
•  Park behind or beside the theatre. Parking is free.

 Northbound (7th Street Line)

• Ride the Light Rail North, heading into Uptown.
• Exit at Stonewall Street Station (first stop inside the     I-277 loop).
• Exit off Platform and take stairs/elevator down to Street/Ground Level.
• Head right on Stonewall Street (be mindful of Pedestrian detours, due to construction).
• Continue on Stonewall through the traffic signals at Brevard Street, Caldwell Street, and N. Davidson Street.
• Actor’s Theatre will be on the right-hand side of Stonewall Street, at the corner of Stonewall and Alexander Streets.

 Southbound (I-485 Line)

• Ride the Light Rail South, heading towards South Charlotte.
• Exit at Stonewall Street Station (last stop before leaving Uptown).
• Exit off Platform and take stairs/elevator down to Street/Ground Level.
• Head right on Stonewall Street (be mindful of Pedestrian detours, due to construction).
• Continue on Stonewall through the traffic signals at Brevard Street, Caldwell Street, and N. Davidson Street.
• Actor’s Theatre will be on the right-hand side of Stonewall Street, at the corner of Stonewall and Alexander Streets.
